11 O`Clock Tick Tock Tour 1980not available 05/23/1980 Moonlight Club - London, England 11 O'Clock Tick Tock, Twilight, Another Time, Another Place, Stories For Boys comment: Setlist is incomplete. 05/24/1980 University - Sheffield, England not available 05/26/1980 New Regent - Brighton, England not available 05/27/1980 Rock Garden - London, England not available 05/28/1980 Trinity Hall - Bristol, England not available 05/29/1980 Cedar Ballroom - Birmingham, England not available comment: At this show, Bono leaps into the audience and Edge and Adam both follow him with their instruments. However, this results in the guitar and bass cables becoming unplugged, and for a short while, only Bono's microphone and Larry's drums are audible. 05/30/1980 Nashville - London, England not available 05/31/1980 Polytechnic - Manchester, England I Will Follow comment: Setlist incomplete; only one song known. This is the earliest known performance of I Will Follow, though it is quite likely that it was played at preceding gigs in May 1980. 06/02/1980 77 Club - Nuneaton, England not available 06/03/1980 Boat Club - Nottingham, England not available 06/04/1980 Beach Club - Nottingham, England not available 06/05/1980 Fan Club - Leeds, England not available 06/06/1980 J.B's - Dudley, England not available 06/07/1980 Marquee Club - London, England not available 06/08/1980 Half Moon Club - London, England 11 O'Clock Tick Tock, Out Of Control, Stories For Boys, Boy-Girl, 11 O'Clock Tick Tock comment: Incomplete setlist: a Hot Press article reports that 11 O'clock Tick Tock opened and closed and that all of U2:3 was played in succession. 07/10/1980 Clarendon Hotel - London, England An Cat Dubh, Into The Heart encores: I Will Follow comment: Setlist is incomplete; only two songs from the main set are known. It is unknown if I Will Follow was the only encore or if other encore songs were played. Roughly 200 people attend the show but many are media and record company people rather than paying customers. 07/11/1980 Half Moon Club - London, England not available comment: This is the first show U2 sells out outside Ireland. 07/12/1980 Moonlight Club - London, England not available comment: U2's popularity outside Ireland grows - not only is this show sold out, but some 200 fans without tickets are denied entry. 07/13/1980 Marquee Club - London, England 11 O'Clock Tick Tock, The Speed Of Life, An Cat Dubh, Into The Heart, Pete The Chop, The Electric Co., Things To Make And Do, Stories For Boys, I Will Follow encores: 11 O'Clock Tick Tock comment: This is the last known show to feature commercially unreleased pre-Boy songs in the setlist (The Speed Of Life followed by Pete The Chop), though it is possible U2 performed pre-Boy songs at the two festivals between this show and the start of the Boy Tour. Pete The Chop can claim the title as the last known unreleased pre-Boy song to be played live. However, as a later version of it known as Treasure (Whatever Happened To Pete The Chop?) was released as New Year's Day's b-side, some may prefer to count The Speed Of Life as the last unreleased pre-Boy song to be played live as no later version was commercially released. 07/27/1980 Leixlip Castle - Co. Kildare, Ireland Another Day, 11 O'Clock Tick Tock, Shadows And Tall Trees, A Day Without Me, Twilight comment: Dublin Festival 1980. The above setlist is incomplete. This show features the last known performances of Shadows And Tall Trees (the only Boy song to not be performed on the Boy Tour) and Another Day. 07/28/1980 Dalymount Festival - Dublin, Ireland not available More detailed listings from this tour can be found here.
